How Do I Link My Bank Account to PayPal?

On the PayPal website:

1. Log in and go to Wallet.
2. Click Link a card or bank, then choose Link a bank account.
3. Find your bank by searching or selecting it from the list.
4. Now you have two options:

  • Instant linking – enter your online banking login, and PayPal will confirm your account right away.
  • Manual linking – enter your bank account details manually and click Agree and Link.
    • If you pick this option, PayPal will send two small deposits (a few cents each) to your account within 3 business days. You’ll confirm these amounts later in PayPal to finish the process.

In the PayPal app:

1. Open the app and go to Wallet.
2. Tap the + icon next to “Banks and cards.”
3. Select Banks and choose your bank from the list.
4. Again, you have two ways to link:

  • Instantly – enter your online banking login, and PayPal confirms your account immediately.
  • Manually – enter your bank account details, and PayPal will send you 2 small deposits within 3 business days for confirmation.
