How to Turn Off 2-Step Verification in GoDaddy

Sometimes we need to log in to your GoDaddy account to set up your domain. If 2-Step Verification (2SV) is on, we can’t access it. Don’t worry — you can turn it off in a minute, and you can always turn it back on later.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy account (you may be asked for a code from your phone/app or a security key).
  2. Go to Login & PIN settings.
  3. Under 2-Step Verification, click Edit.
  4. Next to the verification method you want to remove, click Delete.
  5. Click Remove. You’ll see a success message and 2SV will turn off immediately.

Note: If you also set a backup method for 2SV, repeat steps 3–5 to remove it as well.

You can re-enable 2-Step Verification anytime after we finish the setup.
